Dr. Eric Chang is committed to giving back to underserved communities in the United States and around the globe. Many people cannot afford and do not have access to trained, experienced plastic surgeons and are left to live with disfiguring conditions caused by accidents, natural disasters, and birth defects. Dr. Chang understands that plastic surgery not only improves an individual’s appearance, it improves his or her quality of life.
About Dr. Chang’s Journeys
Dr. Chang travels abroad with various organizations including Resurge International (formerly Interplast) and Hospital del la Familia providing his expertise and skill to children and adults in remote places such as Port Au Prince, Nuevo Progreso in Guatemala, and Guanajuato, Mexico and Haiti (with Medishare).
There he has performed cosmetic and reconstructive surgery on dozens of children with congenital abnormalities such as cleft lip and cleft palate, as well as burn victims and other children.
